Description:
We are seeking a skilled AI/LLM developer for a focused 2-week contract to advance our ocean science research tools. You will help build intelligent systems that enhance our ability to gather, interpret, and analyze scientific data, peer-reviewed publications and reports.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Develop a high-quality Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Model Context Protocol (MCP) pipeline using published papers/reports and related ocean science datasets
2) Implement function calling to interact with relevant APIs or data services
3) Design and develop autonomous agents capable of finding and collecting peer-reviewed papers and technical reports
4) Apply LLMs and AI agents for tasks related to ocean data analysis, synthesis, and scientific report summarization
Qualifications:
1) Proven experience with LLMs (OpenAI, LangChain, or similar frameworks)
2) Solid background in building RAG and MCP systems
3) Experience with agent-based frameworks (AutoGen, LangGraph, CrewAI, etc.)
4) Strong background in scientific data analysis, ideally in ocean or environmental sciences
5) Ability to deliver clean, production-ready code under tight deadlines
